Daphne Paul,

Do you feel overwhelmed by the load of your emotions and feel unsure how to manage them?

We all sometimes feel this way. Sometimes you may even fear the idea of giving these emotions the attention they deserve for fear of making things worse, or opening a box you won’t be able to shut. Therapy can help you learn to tackle these emotions for good.

Processing emotions alone can be difficult. I aim to provide a safe space where every client feels valued, honoured, and respected, putting forth empathy and a non-judgemental attitude every step of the way. Whether you are struggling with disordered eating, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or have experienced trauma, I am here to help you through to the other side. I have a passion for working with students as well as individuals who are part of the 2SLGBTQI community.

I approach therapy from a person-centered and holistic lens, tailoring the session to you and your unique needs. I hope to provide you with tools that will lead you to your therapeutic goals, along with resilience for life’s future challenges. Using evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and strengths-based counselling I work with each client using the strategies that work best for them.

Daphne is a qualifying member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She completed her Master of Counselling Psychology degree at Yorkville University, and works under the supervision of Rachel Sturgeon, MA, RP, CCC.

A little more about me…
I grew up as an athlete, competing in both gymnastics and volleyball – I’ve always found a sense of confidence through connections with others while working towards one goal.
